Playgroup is an informal session where parents, children and babies meet to socialise in a relaxed environment. At Rosemount we have been running playgroup sessions since 1999!
For parents, playgroup provides an opportunity to:
- Meet other families living in Singapore and develop new friendships
- Share experiences and ideas
- Relax and talk in a friendly environment
- Play with children and nurture a spirit of cooperation
For children, playgroup offers the chance to:
- Develop their social skills
- Learn how to share and cooperate
- Participate in new experiences
- Interact with other adults and children in a safe environment
- Learn more about the world
Each playgroup session is directed by a playgroup leader and has a set program of activities which includes art, craft, music and play. Mid-way through all playgroup sessions a break is held. At this point children are served a snack and parents are provided with morning tea.
