School Founder, Cheryl Young

Rosemount Kindergarten Founder, Cheryl Young, has over forty years experience working in the education sector. She has held two principal positions at international schools in Indonesia and Singapore. 

Cheryl also has worked as a curriculum development consultant to organisations including: World Bank, AusAid, Asia Development Bank and Australian International Development Assistance Bureau. As part of her work in this area, Cheryl designed school curriculums for countries including: Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu, Marshall Islands, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Bangladesh and Iran. 

Throughout her career Cheryl has held a number of lecturer positions at Universities in the Asia-Pacific region including: University of Sydney, Australia; Solomon Islands College of Higher Education; and University of the South Pacific, Fiji.

She is also the co-author of two educational text books titled: Consider the Choices and What Are the Choices – both of which were used as high-school course text books in the Australian public school system.

Additionally, in 1983 Cheryl was nominated for a prestigious Australian award, "Australian of the Year", for her contribution to Australia's education sector in the area of teacher training.

Cheryl holds: a Bachelor of Arts in Education, University of New England, Australia; and a Diploma in Teaching, Newcastle Teachers College, Australia.

Director, Alannah Young

Alannah Young is a Director of Rosemount Kindergarten.  She has been working in the Education Industry for three years.

Prior to joining Rosemount Kindergarten, Alannah was a Group Director at one of Australia’s leading Public Relations agencies. In this role she provided communication and business assistance to over 40 organisations, across a range of industries including: education, government, finance, transport, IT, health, consumer, not-for-profit, FMCG, construction, mining and defence.

Alannah holds: a Master's of Business Administration, Australian Graduate School of Managment;  a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Charles Sturt University, Australia; and a Graduate Diploma in Management, Australian Graduate School of Management.
